DESCRIPTION:
Appearance : colorless, odorless crystal.
Melting Point: 71.8-72.3ºC
Vapour Pressure: 0.293 mPa at 25ºC.
Stability: Stable in water 7100 mg/L at 20ºC , soluble in 65og/L in methanol; 550g/L in benzene.
Toxicity: Oral LD50 (Rat)>669 mg/kg. Dermal LD50 (Rabbit) >3,100 mg/kg.
Metalaxyl is a systemic, benzenoid fungicide used in mixtures as a foliar spray for tropical and subtropical crops, as a soil treatment for control of soil-borne pathogens, and as a seed treatment to control downy mildews. Metalaxyl may be used on many different food crops, including tobacco, ornamentals, conifer, and turf applications.
