MONENSIN 8% & NICARBAZIN 8% GRANULE
Composition
Pharmacological action
Monensin 8% & Nicarbazin 8% Granule is a coccidiostat containing the active ingredients monensin and nicarbazin. The combined strength of the ionophore monensin and the chemical nicarbazin leads to an unique new product in coccidiosis control.
Monensin 8% & Nicarbazin 8% Granule is effective against coccidiosis caused by all major Eimeria species in broilers and turkeys.
On cellular level the effect of Monensin 8% & Nicarbazin 8% Granule to inhibit the development of sporo
zoites and trophozoites is enhanced by the synergetic action of monensin and nicarbazin.
Indications
As an aid in the prevention of coccidiosis in broiler chickens, rearing pullets and turkeys caused by Eimeria tenella, E. acervulina, E. maxima, E. necatrix, E. brunetti, E. mitis and
E. praecox in chickens for fattening and E. meleagrimitis, E. adenoeides, E. gallopavonis, E. meleagridis and E.dispersa in turkeys.
Dosage
For prevention of coccidiosis in broilers and turkeys. Monensin 8% & Nicarbazin 8% Granule is most frequently used at a concentration of 40/40 ppm. This can be achieved by blending 500 g of Monensin 8% & Nicarbazin 8% Granule per ton of feed. In case of severe infection the dosage can be increased up to 50/50 ppm or 625 g Monensin 8% & Nicarbazin 8% Granule per ton of feed.
Side effects
None under correct use of the product.
