Tank nets (tank trap nets) are a common defensive installation designed to impede, delay or stop enemy tanks and other movin garmored vehicles. When deployed, a tank net creates an unobtrusive barrier designed to impede the advance and maneuver of violators of a nation's borders and to provide favorable conditions for border forces and reserves. Tank barrier nets are primarily used to set up barricades to stop or slow down enemy tank and armored vehicle convoys. It can buy time for the defender to redeploy forces or prepare other defenses by stopping or altering the route of tanks.
