Nonpolar Macroporous Adsorbent for Extracting Compounds of Glycosides, Phenolic Acids, Saponins,and Alkaloids
PRODUCT DATA SHEET:
SDN-5 is a styrene-series macroporous adsorbent. Not containing ion-exchange functional groups, this nonpolar adsorbent is synthesized by polymerizing monomers with very small dipole moment, and thus surface of the pores is highly hydrophobic. Therefore, it can selectively adsorb the organic micromolecules impurities through interaction with the hydrophobic parts in these small molecules. In general, such nonpolar adsorbent has been widely applied in removing nonpolar organic micromolecules from polar solution that contains polar macromolecules.
Polymerized by its specific surface area and unique pore diameter, well designed as 'glycosides, phenolic acids, saponins &alkaloids adsorbent', SDN-18 adsorbent is most suitable for extracting steviol glycosides, tanshinol,
such saponins as gypenosides or notoginsenosides, and alkaloids compounds as camptothecin and the like, including small molecules of pigments during F&B and herbal medicine extraction process.
