Nonpolar Macroporous Adsorbent for Extracting Saponins Compounds from Herbal Plants and Removing Pigment for Decolorization
PRODUCT DATA SHEET:
SDN-4 is a styrene-series macroporous adsorbent. Not containing ion-exchange functional groups, this nonpolar adsorbent is synthesized by polymerizing monomers with very small dipole moment, and thus surface of the pores is highly hydrophobic. Therefore, it can selectively adsorb the organic micromolecules impurities through interaction with the hydrophobic parts in these small molecules. In general, such nonpolar adsorbent has been widely applied in removing nonpolar organic micromolecules from polar solution that contains polar macromolecules.
Polymerized by its specific surface area and precise pore diameter, well designed as 'saponins &pigment adsorbent', SDN-18 adsorbent is most suitable for extracting various saponins compounds as well as small molecules of pigments for F&B decolorization purposes.
