Ethanolamine, also known as 2-aminoethanol, 2-hydroxyethylamine, monoethanolamine or monoethanolamine, abbreviated as ETA or MEA, chemical formula C2H7NO, is a primary amine organic compound. It is hygroscopic, toxic, flammable and corrosive. It exists in phospholipids and coexists with choline, so ethanolamine is also called cholineamine.
