BK-150D is an organoclay (tetraallkyl ammonium bentonite) for solvent-based systems of low to medium polarity.

4. Incorporations& Recommended Levels:
During preparing drilling fluid, the addition of BK-150D is controlled within 25 -30kg/m3 .It can also be adjusted according to actual needs. Different base solution volume requires different dosage. Generally the required dosage of low aromatic hydrocarbon mineral oil concentration is slightly higher than diesel system. In preparing of oil based drilling fluid, the presence of small amounts of water ( 0.1 -0.5% of the total volume) contribute to the ideal effect of organoclay. Sufficient stirring force is required to allow BK-150D drilling fluids well dispersed and achieves the desired viscosity.
