Brace-Type Surge Arrester
Using Condition
1. The products apply for outdoor and indoor operation.
2. Altitude doesn't exceed 2000m.
3. Power frequency range from 48Hz to 62Hz.
4. Power frequency voltage doesn't exceed surge arrester's continuous operative voltage.
5. Earthquake Intensity don't exceed 7 degree
6. Maximum wind speed doesn't exceed 35m/s
Constructure Feature and Operation Principle
Product's inside is consisting of non-line high quality metal oxide varistor. Outside is molded by silicone rubber.
Under the usual condition, the surge arrester has high resistance, having only microampere current and no effect on the equipment's usual operation. When the overvoltage wave traverse, the surge arrester has low resistance, having kilo-ampere current and the surge arrester two-end voltage is still controlled allowable scope, so it protect the equipment from the overvoltage.
