PPGI uses galvanized sheets (with a zinc coating) as the base metal. PPGL is based on aluminum-plated zinc plate, which is plated with 55% aluminum, 43.3% zinc and 1.6% silicon. This is the main difference between PPGI and PPGL,which will further affect their functionality and applications.
PPGL sheet has better heat resistance than PPGI sheet. PPGL sheet can withstand 315ºC. In addition, PPGL sheets have better corrosion resistance than PPGI sheets.
