Indications:

Acute renal failure.
Chronic renal failure.
Acute intoxication caused by certain drugs or substances.
Obstinate heart failure.
Obstinate edema.
Electrolytes disturbance and acid-base imbalance.

Note: the concentration of dialysis solution is normally higher than plasma osmotic concentration, beneficial for water clearance, thus adequate increase osmotic concentration based on water retention. Glucose is used for maintain osmotic concentration, normally 1.5% glucose dialysis solution as a basis, osmotic concentration is 345mOsm/L, 2.5% glucose dialysis solution can be used to enhance water clearance, with osmotic concentration 396mOsm/L. The highest concentration of glucose is 4.25%, with osmotic concentration 485mOsm/L (normally control usage once per day or avoid to use), unless serious edema or acute pulmonary edema, avoid use high glucose concentration of dialysis solution, which may induce excessive hydration, serious hyperglycemia and loss of ultra-filtration function of peritoneum stimulated by high concentration of glucose.
