Plastic material has its own characters .In co-extrusion system, we use and combine several kinds of materials.
Therefore, the characters of single layer tube can't compete with the complex characters of co-extrusion tube.

The Different Tubes
For PE tubes, two-layer tubes and five-layer tubes are the most common types on the market. Usually two-layers is Ok, but if there's material that is especially sensitive to oxygen or the aroma that is easy to release from the tubes, it's better to use five-layer tubes because of good isolation feature of the EVOH barrier.
