They are are typically used for on-off control of water and liquid media compatible with the materials of construction (not suitable for air or gas). Through rotate 90 degrees (quarter-turn) to change the flow diretion. Pneumatic valves are designed for quick opening and closing, it is often the case that compressed air is available.
