Macroporous Adsorbent Polyacrylic Resin as Organic Scavenger for Reducing Water Yield TOC in Industrial Water Treatment Units
PRODUCT DATA SHEET:
SD500 is a polyacrylic-series macroporous adsorption resin with special matrix polymerized by weak base acrylic acid and divinylbenzene(DVB), connecting unique ammonium functional groups. It is featured by ultra strong resistance to organic foulings at exchanging and outperform general adsorbents with adsorption rate up to 80~95% and elution rate over 95%.
In addition to its mesh skeleton structure, its appropriate pore diameter together qualifies SD500 to be the superior alternative to activated carbon granule(ACG) to decolorize liquids and remove a great number of natural organic matter(NOM) in aqueous solutions. Known as 'organic scavenger' during feed liquid pretreatment, SD500 adsorbent has been widely applied in industrial pure water preparation systems prior to in use of anion resin bed units to prevent resin pores from blockage or poisoning. Thereby the use cycles of resins have prolonged, followed by easy regeneration, lower consumption costs and high quality of water yield as a result.
In applications, SD500 has mainly served in water treatment engineering when the raw water turbidity sources from surface water, ground water, lake, river, infiltration wells, or untreated drinking water for removal of free acids, alkali radicals, essentially organic substances that include odor and pigment molecules.
