In wet state, the support performance of SIS material is between ADM and Bio-Gide, and it has soft and conformable properties, and the membrane is easy to unfold.
The dense layer of fibers is dense, which can effectively prevent epithelial cells and connective tissue from growing into the bone defect area. Its Block effect can last up to 8 weeks.
The loose surface has loose fibers and large pores, which are conducive to cell attachment. Implantation in the body quickly induces angiogenesis, guides bone regeneration, and forms woven bone in the defect area within 6 weeks.
SIS contains host defense peptides. The antimicrobial peptides P1 (cecropin P1), PR-39, NK-lysin and other small peptide molecules generated after the degradation of SIS materials are the endogenous infection inhibition mechanism of SIS materials, which are more suitable for use in the oral environment.
