Pulsed stimulation positioning:
Prior to treatment in both standard and pulsed modes, pulsed stimulation is used to determine the position of the radiofrequency treatment to confirm the proximity of the electrodes to the sensory or motor nerves. In addition, electrical stimulation is used to test the effectiveness of the procedure by comparing pre- and post-operative pain.
Standard radiofrequency mode of treatment:
Standard radiofrequency is a continuous, controlled intensity mode of radiofrequency energy output.
