Coace ® BP-5 is a multi-functional reactive chain extender in powder form.
Given environmental protection and sustainable development of today, traditional petroleum-based plastics are progressively disappearing from the market since their difficulties in breaking down. Because of their great biodegradability and mechanical qualities, alternatives PLA (polylactic acid) and PBAT (polybutylene adipate/terephthalate) have drawn lot of interest. These two materials, meantime, have certain drawbacks as well, including low hardness of PBAT and brittleness of PLA. We created a new kind of reactive chain extender powder to overcome these limitations and greatly increase the whole performance of PLA/PBAT composite materials.
