Reciprocating Piston Compressor Accessories Intermediate Body

The intermediate body of the compressor is generally cast integrally with the crankcase. Crosshead slideways are arranged on both sides, and the top is open, facilitating the installation of main bearings, the crankshaft, and connecting rods. Square holes are opened on both sides of the crosshead slideways for the installation and maintenance of the crosshead. It provides slideways for the crosshead, enabling the combination of the connecting rod, crosshead, and piston to reciprocate in a fixed orientation, ensuring the accuracy and stability of piston movement. The intermediate body must have sufficient strength and stiffness to withstand various loads, including gas pressure, the inertial force generated by the reciprocating movement of the piston, and the lateral force of the crosshead, preventing deformation or damage during operation. The surface of the crosshead slideway needs to have good wear resistance to reduce friction and wear between the crosshead and the slideway, extend the service life, and lower maintenance costs. High machining precision is required, especially for the dimensional accuracy and surface roughness of the crosshead slideway, as well as the accuracy of the connection parts with components such as the crankcase and cylinder, ensuring that the fit clearances between various components meet the design requirements and guaranteeing the performance and reliability of the compressor.
