Removable Corrosion Coupon in Pipeline

EMT Corrosion Coupons are used to monitor the corrosion rates of sample (coupon) in the pipe or container. By observing the mils-per-year corrosion rate of an exposed coupon, valuable information can be provided regarding the material's life expectancy. Access fitting bodies can be welded or flange-mounted. Certainly, this product is a welded corrosion coupon.

High pressure access system consist of three basic components:

• an Access Fitting Body
• a Plug Assembly
• a Cover

Process connection size of flange-mounted high pressure access systems is ANSI 2" RF (or RTJ). The Internal Assembly of Corrosion Coupons consists of Solid Plug Body, O-Ring , PTFE Primary Packing, Coupon Holder , Coupon ,bolt, nut and Isolation Gasket.

The coupon of the products shall be made of the same material as the pipe. So its working principle is to simulate the environment in the pipeline through coupons. Then test the corrosion rate of materials to the pipeline.  In other words, this is very important in industry. Because the corrosion of the pipeline will cause leakage and blockage of the pipeline. This greatly affects the pipeline work. Therefore, using corrosion coupon for detection can prevent trouble in the first place.
