Rock wool Cubes are the perfect medium for easy seed and cutting propagation, ensuring uniform root development throughout the entire cube. Designed to fit into standard rock wool block holes, they can also be seamlessly used with Aqua Clay, Perlite, Coco fibre mixes, and various growing mediums.
Crafted from molten basalt and limestone, Rock wool is spun into fibers and compressed into versatile forms such as cubes, blocks, or slabs, delivering unparalleled performance.
Handle rock wool with care by wearing gloves and a mask. The fibers can irritate the skin and lungs if inhaled.
1. Avoid squeezing Rock wool, particularly when wet.
2. Pre-condition Rock wool in pH 5.5 water to dissolve lime before use.
3. Pre-soak Rock wool from 30 seconds to 30 minutes, depending on its size.
4. Water only during daylight - never water in the dark.
5. Maintain an optimal room temperature of 18.5-28°C for most species. Temperatures above 26.7°C within the growing media can deplete oxygen levels, leading to root disease.
6. In low light conditions, water with increased volume but fewer cycles, and vice versa.
7. Avoid keeping Rock wool excessively wet. Excessive algae indicates overwatering. Minimize watering during the plant's early stages to encourage proper root establishment.
