Holy Basil, spicy aroma with coffee and chocolate notes. A compact but very full and attractive botanical with a mild spicy aroma and a hint of sweetness. It grows faster than green holy basil, and its purple flowers also make it a nice beneficial or ornamental plant. Used for tea, cooking and medicinal purposes. Also known as "spice basil", in Sri Lanka it is used in Thai cooking (but very different from Thai basil) and in mosquito repellents. Its healthy vinegar properties are said to help fight stress and other medical problems. If allowed to bloom, it is a bee magnet and it can reseed. Grow indoors for a constant stream of fresh leaves all winter.
2. Cover: Cover the seeds with a thin layer of nutrient soil, it is enough to cover the seeds, and press gently with your hands.
