Sodium lauryl alcohol polyether Organosulfate (SLES) is an anionic surfactant with excellent performance, which can be prepared from coconut. [1] The Molecular formula is R (OCH2CH2) nOSO3Na (R is 12 alkyl [7-8]), a light yellow viscous liquid, easily
soluble in water, with excellent decontamination, emulsification and foaming properties. It has good thickening properties and foaming ability, for example, adding 2%~5% sodium chloride can easily increase the viscosity of SLES system.
[2] Commonly used in daily chemical industries such as liquid washing, meal washing, shampoo, and bath washing, as well as in industries such as textiles, paper making, leather, machinery, and petroleum extraction.
[3] In cosmetics, SLES has a certain degree of irritation and is not suitable for long-term use on sensitive and dry skin.
Application
As surfactants, SLES has many important applications. It acts as a very effective cleaner, has good emulsification and dispersion properties, and can make stains easier to rinse off. SLES can also increase the foam performance of the product and improve the comfort of the product. In addition, SLES also has a good effect on reducing static electricity in shampoo products, making hair softer and smoother.Widely used in daily chemical, textile, petroleum, leather, printing and dyeing industries. Used for washing, emulsification, wetting, dyeing aid, diffusion, and other functions. It has excellent biodegradability and low-temperature performance, high content of active substances, and is not affected by water hardness. Especially as a raw material for detergents, it is not only suitable for various powdered washing products, but also suitable for various detergents, such as laundry creams (agents), detergents, dry cleaning agents, cleaning agents, removers, laundry creams, shampoo (gel), and various shampoos of various models and purposes.
