Sharp Edge Tester meets the standard requirement of UL1439D, and it is used for testing whether the sharp edge on metal and glass of the products, such as children toys, daily household appliances and electronic equipments, is hazardous to user in accessible places. It is mainly used for safety testing.

3. Application Method :
1.Put the pressure testing cap on the tester
2.Put the pressure testing cap closes to the tested edge and move the cap along the tested edge for 2 inches with a 0.68kg force, then return to the starting point. The whole distance will be 4 inches
3.After the movement, check the pressure testing cap. If the outermost 2 layers(the simulative skin) have been scratched off, the edge is considered as the sharp edge.
4. Specification :
This tester is designed for the standard of UL. The UL company sets up an objective standard to decide whether an edge meets the safety requirement. Most of the UL standards to the consumption products,such as edges, protruded parts, corners, cutouts, coiled rims and handles ,need to smooth out to avoid getting hurt.
