Silicone Leveling Agent
Product Description
SiLP-2623 is a silicone leveling agent with high efficiency defoaming.It improves solvent-borne and solvent-free surface properties, with a particular focus on leveling. In contrast to most silicone additives, it works in a defoaming fashion (that is, with no or only little foam stabilization), depending on the polarity of the coating system. SiLP-2623 increases surface slip, thereby improving scratch and abrasion resistance, preventing the formation of Benard vortices and improving the orientation of aluminum-powder and matting agents. The additive does not cause sparkle even in difficult-to-matte high solids systems. In flow coating systems, SiLP-2623 stabilizes the curtain. SiLP-2623 is heat resistant up to 250°C/480°F bake and will not degrade intercoat adhesion during recoating.
