Sipernat 017 Silicon Dioxide Powder Hydrophilic Fumed Silica CAS No. 10279-57-9
Chemical Properties: White amorphous fine powder, hydrophobic. Insoluble in water and acid. Soluble in caustic potassium (sodium) and hydrofluoric acid. Does not decompose at high temperatures. Has high electrical insulation. Non-toxic, odorless, non-oxidizing, non-corrosive and non-flammable. Usage: It can be used as reinforcing agent for white rubber products, plastic filler, oil Chemicalbook ink thickener and anti-caking agent for dry powder fire extinguishing agents. Production method: Dimethyldichlorosilane method: perform ion exchange on the diluted and purified water glass to remove sodium ions, then add hydrochloric acid for acid-heat reflux concentration, add dimethyldichlorosilane monomer solvent for hydrophobic treatment, and remove the solvent. Drying produces hydrophobic silica.
Product Usage
To be used as dehumidifying desiccant, dehydrating agent, moisture-proof agent and air humidity conditioner. Also used for drying gases. It is also used as a catalyst and catalyst components, a reinforcing agent for silicone rubber, and a sizing agent used in the textile industry.
