Overview
WP4/WP6 series diesel engine is upgrade version of 226B series high-speed diesel engine which is manufactured by a joint venture co-founded by Weichai and Germany-based Deutz AG with increased strokes and optimized design. It has advantages of compact structure, high reliability, high economic performance, easy operation and maintenance. This series engine, as main or auxiliary engine, are chiefly mounted on small-size transport ships and fishing boats on inland rivers.

Introduction of Weichai WP6 Series Marine Diesel Engine:
WP6 marine diesel engine develops from Deutz 226B-6C family with improved structure, increased strokes, and higher displacement, which significantly enhance its reserve power. Strictly in line with German standards, this series engine is equipped with round reentrant ω-shaped combustion chamber, low-vortex cylinder lid, low flow-resistant intake system, and efficient supercharger, which improve combustion greatly. Moreover, its flat fuel consumption curve ensures high economic performance under common working conditions. This series is ideally used on river transport ships, fishing boats and public vessels.
