Sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate CAS 25155-30-0, also known as SDBS 30% 40% 50% 60% 70% 80% 85% etc, is a commonly used anionic surfactant. It is a white or light yellow powder or flake solid, difficult to evaporate, soluble in water, and soluble in water to form a semi transparent solution. Detergent
Sodium alkylbenzenesulfonate is a yellow oily substance that can be purified to form hexagonal or rhombic strong plate-like crystals. It has micro toxicity and has been recognized by international safety organizations as a safe chemical raw material. Sodium alkylbenzenesulfonate can be used in fruit and tableware cleaning, with the largest amount used in detergents. Due to large-scale automated production and low cost, sodium alkylbenzenesulfonate used in detergents has two types: branched chain structure (ABS) and straight chain structure (LAS). The branched chain structure has low biodegradability and can cause environmental pollution, while the straight chain structure is easily biodegradable, with a biodegradability of over 90% and a low degree of environmental pollution.
Emulsifying dispersant
Sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate, as an anionic surfactant, has good surface activity and strong hydrophilicity, effectively reducing the tension of the oil-water interface and achieving emulsification. Therefore, sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate has been widely used in the formulation of emulsions such as cosmetics, food, printing and dyeing auxiliaries, and pesticides. [4]

Sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate is an anionic surfactant that can make fabrics, plastics, and other surfaces hydrophilic to water.
