Steel Ball Torque Limiter

Steel ball torque limiter is a device used to protect machinery and equipment from damage. It can immediately disconnect when overloaded to protect the machinery and equipment from damage. The working principle of the steel ball torque limiter is that when the torque transmitted by the equipment exceeds the set slip torque (overload), the steel ball leaves the pit, causing slippage between the active and passive end components, thereby reducing the transmitted torque. After the overload is eliminated, the steel ball rotates one angle during the rotation of the cage and automatically resets in the next pit, allowing the main and driven end components to return to normal rotation after rotating one angle relative to each other. This type of limiter has the ability to accurately and continuously adjust the maximum transmission torque, and the best switch repeatability can be achieved through the clutch motion of the rolling ball. Its torque limit range is wide, from 0.6 Nm to 56500 Nm, and the torque transmission has no backlash.
The application range of steel ball torque limiters is wide, including but not limited to printing machinery, packaging machinery, refrigeration equipment, automated production lines, conveyor industries, etc. It is commonly used to be installed between the active and passive sides of power transmission. When an overload fault occurs (torque exceeds the set value), the torque limiter will separate, effectively protecting the driving machinery (such as motors, reducers, servo motors) and loads. This type of limiter not only provides overload protection, but also quickly restores to the operational readiness state after the overload ends.
