42CrMo4(V), DIN1.7225, hot rolled rings for slewing rings
42CrMo4 (42CrMo4V) steel is often used for mechanical components that require case-hardending, particularly for mechanical applications that require high wear and fatigue contact resistances. These application also rely on standard survery hardness of about 600 HV and effective case depth greater than 200 µ M.
With good heat treatment, rings could reach hardness standard that could meet the requirement of slewing rings application.
Normally, 42CrMo4 hot rolled rings's end use is slewing ring bearings, need the heat treatment: Q+T to reach agreed hardness. Some times CK45 seamless rolled ring is another choice, it is more cheap for the raw material.
All Seamless rolled rings can be supplied with weld overlay according to your requirement
