
Paraffin gauze dressing is a disposable product and should be immediately discarded after use. They are commonly used in hospitals, emergency rooms, and other medical settings for wound care and treatment.

Characteristics:
1. Impregnated with paraffin, paraffin acts as a soothing agent. The antibiotic / antiseptic in it helps in the healing process.
2. It's non adherent, non allergenic.
3. Forms a separate layer between wound and gauze.
4. Facilitates air circulation and hastens healing.
5. Clings and conforms to all body contours.
6. Interlocking gauze yarn threads, minimize when dressing is cut to shape.
7. Due to special type of butter paper loss of medicine after removal of butter paper is minimum.
8. Sterilized by gamma radiation.
9. Sterile packing, For single use only.






1. Not to adhere to the wound. Remove without pain. No blood.
2. Accelerate the healing under an appropriate moisture environment.
3. Convenient to use. No greasy feeling.
4. Soft and comfortable to use. Especially use on hands, feet, limbs and other parts which are difficult to fix.




Indications:
A wound that is used for wound area less than 10% of body surface area:
1. Abrasions, Wounds
2. Burns 2nd degree, Skin grafting
3. Postoperative wound, like pull out the nail and so on
4. Donor skin and skin area
5. Chronic wounds: bedsore, leg ulcers, diabetic foot etc.
6. Tear, wear, and other skin loss

Instructions for use:
1. Carefully clean the wound and its surrounding area with sterile water or saline solution and dry the surrounding skin gently.
2. Select the right size of dressing for the wound area. Carefully open the sterile pouch to remove the dressing inside.
3. A secondary dressing is necessary when using gauze dressing. If needed, cut the tape and dressing using sterile scissors.
4. The dressing should be changed daily in heavily exudative wounds, reduced to every 3 days as the healing process proceeds. Otherwise to be changed a clinically directed. The dressing should also be removed if the dressing has completely dried.
5. Remove the dressing using tweezers or a gloved hand. Remove the dressing from the skin slowly and gently. The dressing may adhere if used on a dry wound. In this case removal of the dressing can be helped by soaking the wound with sterile saline.
