AGV is the abbreviation of Automated Guided Vehicle, which means "automatic Guided Vehicle". It refers to the Vehicle equipped with automatic Guided device such as electromagnetic or optical, which can drive along the prescribed guidance path and has safety protection and various load shifting functions. By combining with WMS and MES, AGV realizes the automatic handling management of warehousing, flexible and dynamic allocation of cargo space, and changes the selection from "arrival of goods" to "arrival of goods to people" to improve work efficiency.
AGV Onboard System, namely the control System of AGV single machine, is responsible for the functions of navigation, guidance, path selection, vehicle driving, loading and unloading operation of AGV single machine after receiving the instruction of upper System.
Navigation: AGV single machine measures and calculates its position and heading in global coordinates through its own Navigation devices.
Guidance: The AGV unit calculates the velocity and steering Angle values for the next cycle based on its current position, heading, and preset theoretical trajectory, i.e., the command values for AGV motion.
Searching for path: According to the instruction of the upper system, the single AGV selects the path to run in advance through calculation and reports the result to the upper control system. Whether the AGV can run is uniformly allocated by the upper system according to the location of other AGVs. The path of AGV single machine is designed according to the actual working conditions, which is composed of several "segments". Each "segment" indicates the starting and ending points of the segment, as well as the speed and steering of the AGV in the segment.
Driving: The AGV single machine controls the vehicle operation through servo devices based on the calculation results and path selection information from Guidance.
