Strong adhesion starch glue powder for flute laminating machine
The advantages:
- Fast dry. Pasted well in 30mins, and can be done for next process in 1-2hrs, and can be dry entirely in 1-2 days.
- Strong adhesion. Adhere two paperboard together strongly.
- Economical. One ton of the starch glue powder can be made into 3.74tons of water glue.

water glue making formula:
- Water 55kgs
- Put glue powder 25kgs into the above water and churn the glue up to make it even (Use whole bag of the glue powder at a time, stirring for 5-10minutes).
- dissolve 2-2.3kg (summer: 2kg, and winter: 2.3kg) caustic soda together with 1-1.2kg borax into another 10kg water and mix round the solutions for about 5-10 minutes; then pour this hot solution into the glue in step 2, and mix them evenly (stirring for 10minutes).
Remark:
- Caustic soda: the effect of the caustic soda is as cataplasm. If deficiency, the glue looks to be very thick, bad viscidity and fluidity; meanwhile, it will be coagulated a little long time later. But in case of excess, the glue will be badly affected; so just add it as per this recipe. The purity of the caustic soda must be over 96%.
- The function of the borax (purity over 95%): to improve the viscosity of the glue.
- The action of the tributyl phosphate: antifoaming agent. More foam, more of it can be used; but the excessive can reduce the viscosity.
- The features of the glue: drying fast, bonding fastness, less quantity and cost. In case the glue be left unused for a long time, it can be used continuously just churning it up before using.
- Place the finished glue aside about 15mins before use. What's more, the color is canary.
- Water glue applying quantity: cardboard to cardboard lamination: about 40gram per m2; cardboard to corrugated board lamination: about 20-40gram per m2.
- Before using the glue, it should be churned up evenly.
- With this recipe, one ton of the glue powder can be made into 3.74 tons of the glue.

- During water glue making, the mixer speed should be 60-70rpm.
- Water glue quantity to be applied onto flute board is about 25gram per square meter.
- We suggest that customers just make water glue for the same day use, and avoid to keep the water glue for next day or next few days.
- Water glue storage: lamination water glue can be kept for 7 days in summer and 10 days in winter. After some time storge, the lamination water glue will become layers, just stir it evenly before using.
- After the laminated paperboards come out from the laminating machine, pls pile them together, and put a heavy plate on the pile to keep the paperboard flat.
- The laminated paperboard may be sticked well in 30 minutes, and it can be moved to next process such as die cutting, etc. in 1-2hrs, and it can be dry entirely in 1-2 days.
