U-shaped steel is a kind of steel with a cross section like the English letter "U", and sometimes the cross section is in the shape of the Japanese letter "U".
The latest standard is the national recommended standard issued in 2008 and implemented on April 1, 2009 GB/T 4697-2008
U-shaped steel support
Main features: large pressure, long support time, easy installation and not easy deformation.
Main uses: it is mainly used for secondary support of mine roadway, mine roadway, and support of mountain tunnel.
U-shaped steel is widely used at home and abroad as the main section steel for manufacturing the retractable metal support of roadway.
However, due to the different understanding of the properties and requirements of U-shaped steel, the cross-sectional shape, geometric parameters and materials of U-shaped steel are different in different countries.
There are four types of U-shaped steel produced in China: 18u, 25U, 29U and 36U. Among them, the first two are products of the 1960s, which belong to waist positioning; The latter two are products of the 1980s, belonging to ear positioning. U18 is rarely produced due to its low bearing capacity.
In GB / T 4697-2008, 40u is added in addition to the above four types of U-shaped steel.
