Super Foundry Coke

Foundry coke is a special coke for melting iron in cupola. It is a kind of metallurgical coke. It is named because the molten iron is used to cast iron.Therefore, the foundry coke should have the characteristics of large lumpiness, low reactivity, small porosity, sufficient impact crushing strength, low ash and sulfur content. Foundry coke is the main fuel for melting iron in cupola. Its function is:Melt the furnace charge and superheat the molten iron, and support the charge column to ensure good permeability. Therefore, the foundry coke should have the characteristics of large lumpiness, low reactivity and small porosity.Compared with blast furnace coke, foundry coke has the characteristics of large lumpiness, less cracks and high compactness in appearance. The foundry coke charged into the cupola is divided into two parts: bottom coke and layer coke.The purpose of the bed coke is to burn to produce heat, melt the metal and superheat the molten iron as it passes through it. Because this part of coke is at the bottom of the cupola, it has to bear the static pressure of the whole material column and the impact force of large iron materials when feeding, so it should have a certain crushing strength.The layer coke is added into the furnace from the upper part and the metal material layer by layer alternately to supplement the consumption of the bottom coke, and the addition amount of each layer is the amount of the bottom coke consumed by melting a layer of iron material.Fold
