Potassium pyrophosphate is also known as tetrapotassium pyrophosphate, white powder or lump solid. Relative density 2.534,
melting point 1109°C, soluble in water, solubility 187g/100g water (25°C). Aqueous solution is alkaline, 1% aqueous solution
pH=10.2. insoluble in ethanol. Properties similar to other polyphosphates.

Usage:
Colorless monoclinic crystal (or acicular crystal) powder, colorless, odorless, salty, deliquescent, soluble in water, glycerol,
alcohol, insoluble in ether.
It is mainly used as reducing agent for electroless plating. For large equipment and small objects that cannot be electroplated,
or for complex shape with concave convex lines, or for inner wall of deep hole, or for surface hardness and wear resistance,
or for surface metallization of plastic ceramics, glass, quartz and other non-metallic materials, dense and uniform Ni-P coating
can be obtained, which is better than electroplating. Widely used in electronics, aviation, machinery, petroleum and other
industries. It can also be used as interface activator, molecular weight regulator and heat stabilizer of synthetic resin. In recent
years, it is widely used in the field of phosphorus flame retardant and cement admixture, which plays a significant role in improving
the quick drying rate and firmness of concrete.
