AEO-3 has the properties of emulsification, dispersion and penetration. In the textile industry, it is used as one of the components of chemical fiber textile oil to improve spinnability. Fatty alcohol ether sulfate can be prepared by sulfonation, which is an important anionic surfactant in liquid detergents.
