To determine the impactive of the tinsel cord, in accordance with IEC 60227-2 clause 3.3 and IEC 60227-1 clause 5.6.3.4.
A sample of cord of appropriate length shall be attached by one to a rigid support and a weight having a mass of 0, 5 kg shall be secured to the sample 0, 5 m below the point of attachment. A current of about 0, 1 A shall be passed through the conductors. The weight shall be raised to the point of attachment and then dropped, five times.
