A connecting rod that fastens an axle to the chassis. Uncontrolled movement on the axle is transmitted through the road to the chassis frame on a bumpy road dependent. A small portion of this uncontrolled motion (vibration) is transmitted to the chassis by the torque rod, and most of the rest is transmitted by the suspension system and tyre damping. In addition, traction from the engine is transmitted to the wheels through the vehicle's drivetrain. The torque rod is firmly connected between the axle and the chassis frame by bolts and nuts to keep the axle free from road bumps or bounces.
