Pipe Expanding MachineThe pipe expanding machine is a special equipment for submerged arc welded steel pipe production line. It is used to cold expand the pipe ends of straight seam welded steel pipes or spiral welded steel pipes.
Expanding purpose
- Make the diameter and roundness of the limited length pipe end within the allowable range, so as to meet the requirements of the round pipe end and easy welding.
- Make a pipe end shape that meets the requirements to facilitate the socket connection of steel pipes.

Introduction of Control Methods
HUAYE Pipe End Expander adopts PLC control, the equipment can remember and learn when expanding pipes of different sizes, than automatically operate when processing the same size pipes later.
The machine consists of a host, an auxiliary device, hydraulic, lubrication and electrical systems.
The machine adopts a unique module expansion technology to make the base material stretch along the pipe wall to generate flow. The size of the mold expansion can be strictly controlled to obtain the size, and the accuracy of the roundness of the pipe end is improved. This process is called Expand the diameter.
The expander is equipped with an independent hydraulic station. The main pump of the station fulfills fast moving, expanding, pressure retainment and unloading of expanding cylinder. Supporting cylinder aligns mould and expanding head lifting.
The power supply for the expander is three-phase and four-wire, AC380V, 50HZ. All input signal circuits are DC24V. Output signal and relay control signal are DC24V and AC110V.
