Aluminum Roll Jacketing is made from 1060, 1100, 3003 and 3105 series aluminum conforming to ASTM B-209 standards .
The exterior of the aluminum jacketing is a bare mill finish.
The interior are lined with a Blue polysurlyn barrier moisture. It is made of Dupont's Surlyn, co-extrusion polyethylene, blue film and covered with sun protection film. Total thickness is only 3 mil (0.076mm)
Structure of Polysurlyn Moisture Barrier
1st layer: UV protection film
2nd layer: Color
3rd layer: PE film
4th layer: Dupont Surlyn
5th layer: Base Metal(Aluminum or Stainless Steel sheet)
This barrier prevents moisture and corrosion inside jacketing from direct contact with insulation causing galvanic or chemical corrosion, thus extends the usage expectancy of metal jacketing.
