Vacuum rotary drum filter in mining processing industry
1. Working principle:
External filter surface of drum vacuum filter passes through a continuously rotating drum, and a distribution chamber connected with drum, and make the partition on the filter surface of drum. When the filter surface runs to one of the areas (suction filter area), it can perform filtering operations. When it is transferred to another area (drying area), the filter cake can be dried. When it reaches other areas (washing, drying, discharging, filter cloth regeneration area), the filter cake can be washed, dried again, and the filter cake can be discharged through the scraper discharge device. If the filtration suspension has a high viscosity, it needs to wash the filter cloth, after discharging, the filter cloth is washed through the nozzles installed on both sides of the filter, and then enters the next filtration cycle. The drum rotates once, that is, it cycles once. Complete filtration, drying, washing, re-drying, discharging and filter cloth regeneration. When the machine is running, each area works simultaneously, so continuous filtration is formed.
2. Structure characteristics:
The rotary drum vacuum filter is mainly composed of a rotary drum part, a storage tank part, a distribution head part, a power transmission device, a filter cake washing device, an agitator, and a scraper discharge device.
The filtering equipment can use stainless steel, plastic, titanium, rubber lining and plastic mesh, which can meet the requirements of various corrosive materials.
3. Application range:
For the suspension, the specific gravity of the solid is not too large, the particle size is not too coarse, the filter cake is a little sticky, and the speed of the solid phase sedimentation is not more than 12 mm. A filter with a scraper can be selected. Mainly used in the filtration of metal hydroxide, blast furnace dust, paper industry, desulfurization, petrochemicals, iron oxide pulp, various industrial waste water, tailing, etc.
