Used in the pharmaceutical industrial as a substrate for ointments,emulsions,lotions and suppositories.
Storage:
Polyethylene glycol is chemically stable in air and solution, but its molecular weight is lower than 2000. Not suitable for microbial growth, and not easy to rancid.It should be kept in a cool, dry place in an airtight container. Liquid grade polyethylene glycol can be stored in stainless steel, aluminum, glass containers.
