How Does A Solar Roof Work And How Can It Benefit Your Family?

Nowadays solar energy is becoming much more popular and common in our life, and you might have seen some of your neighbors' houses covered with solar roof tiles.

Let us make a brief explanation of how it works to you here:

*1)* Sunlight hits the solar cells to get the power, then the energy is converted to DC electricity.

*2)* The electricity goes to the inverter and is converted into AC electricity that runs the home appliances.

*3)* The excess power produced can be sold to the utility through net metering to reduce bills or make money.

*4)* Also the excess electricity can flow through the inverter to change back into DC electricity that can be stored for later use.

*5)* If the house needs to use the energy stored in the battery, that electricity will flow through the inverter again to become AC electricity.

*6)* A mobile monitoring app will show how much electricity the solar roof system is creating and your home is using, and the savings you're generating.

In the coming years, solar roofs will become quite common with the urging need for clean energy. And people will not just be satisfied with the traditional solar panels that are mounted on the roof. What people will favor is a solar roof that combines the functions of power generation and home protection.

Solar panels are well-known by many people. But solar roof tiles are relatively new to most customers. So we made this video to make a brief analysis of the differences between solar panels and solar tiles.
