Cable sheath fault locator can quickly and accurately find hidden dangers such as ground faults and excessive leakage current of the outer sheath of 10kv-500kv single-core and three-core high-voltage and ultra-high-voltage cables. The outer sheath is subjected to a DC withstand voltage test of 5kv-10kv for 1 minute.Through the step voltage method and the clamp current method, the special identification signal converted by the 220VAC full wave rectifier is applied to the cable through the connecting wire for positioning, and then the cable fault is accurately found.
