They have a one-coat system or a two-coat system of a primer and topcoat and have several features that make them go-to coatings. XYLAN PTFE 1070 Coated stud bolt
Xylan 1070 is an Organic solvent based, low friction coating for fasteners with excellent corrosion resistance. These coatings are mainly applied on fasteners as top layer to act as a barrier coating with a base coat of electro zinc/phosphate or with other primer treatment to achieve good adhesion. These can used for an operating temperature of -195ºC to 260ºC continuously and -195ºC to 285ºC intermittently. Available in variant colours.
Xylan coatings have a broad range of properties which make them ideal for a variety of applications. Xylan differs from traditional Fluoropolymer coatings in one very important aspect they are composite materials. Lubricants with the lowest-known coefficient of friction are combined with the newest high temperature resistant organic polymers to create Xylan coatings. Together these ingredients form "plastic alloys" with unique properties.
