Hex flange bolts are greatly used in areas that are hard to reach since the flange does the work of a washer in distributing pressure. |
| Description: | Flanged Hexagon Bolts are available in many different standards in different countries, both in metric sizes and inch size. The most popular flanged hexagon bolts are manufactured according to DIN 6921. This type of bolt is available in diameters ranging from M5 to M20, and lengths of between 10mm and 200mm. Flange diameters range from 11.80mm up to 43mm, with non-standard sizes also available on request. |
| Application: | Flange bolts (washer bolts) have a flange cast into the bolt head, which acts in the same way as a washer, to spread the load over a wider area. Often used in car manufacturing for example, this type of bolt enables much faster installation on an assembly line than a traditional bolt and washer. Hex Flange Bolts are typically used for automotive and construction applications. The flange directly underneath the hexagon-shaped head is designed to distribute the load and help protect the surface beneath and eliminates the potential need for a washer. |
