The UF-3011S-20A/B Series is a gigabit Ethernet media converter designed to convert 10/100/1000BASE-T copper to 1000BASE-BX single fiber. This fiber media converter uses Wavelength-Division Multiplexing (WDM) technology, enabling Bi-Directional (BiDi) communication over a single fiber and doubling the capacity of your existing fiber infrastructure network without having to install new cabling.
The UF-3011S-20A/B series WDM media converter supports a 20km (12.4 miles) transmit distance over a single fiber at the wavelength of 1310nm-TX/1550nm-RX (UF-3011S-20A or 1550nm-TX/1310nm-RX (UF-3011S-20B). It is provided with SC, ST, and FC connector options for different users. This single fiber WDM media converter is suitable for long network connectivity between servers, network switches, and the other converters.
The UF-3011S-20A/B is manufactured with the latest IC packages from the USA or Taiwan and a high-quality fiber optical transceiver, which provides good electrical characteristics to ensure reliable data transmission and long working life. 6 Group LED indicated lights could fully monitor the working conditions of the media converter. It is easy for end-users to observe network operation. This WDM media converter provides external power as default, it can be as a stand-alone unit or inserted into Optcore's low-cost 14-slot Media Converter Rack Chassis (UF-R14) that allows all the media converters to be powered by a single internal power supply.
