Propy glycol (PG C3H8O2) is a colorless liquid with constant viscosity and good water absorption. It is almost odorless, non flammable, and almost non-toxic. It can be mixed and decomposed with alcohol, water, and various organic reagents.
Propyl glycol is a raw material for unsaturated polyester resins, plasticizers, surfactants, emulsifiers, and demulsifiers. It can also be used as a mold inhibitor, fruit preservative, ice inhibitor, and tobacco moisture-proof agent.
