Tapered roller bearings are separable into a cone assembly and a cup. The non-separable cone assembly consists of the inner ring, the rollers, and a cage that retains & evenly spaces the rollers. The cup is simply the outer ring. A tapered roller bearing is a unit that consists of both tapered raceways (inner and outer rings), and tapered rollers.The load capacity can be increased or decreased depending on the contact angle being increased or decreased.
Features
1. It is a separable bearing. The inner and outer rings of the bearing have tapered raceways, and the rollers are truncated cone-shaped. The roller and the raceway are in linear contact, which can bear heavier combined radial and axial loads, as well as axial loads. The larger the contact angle, the higher the axial bearing capacity; conversely, the smaller the contact angle, the lower the axial bearing capacity. 2. The design of the tapered roller should extend the contact line between the roller and the inner and outer raceways and then intersect at the same point on the bearing axis for rolling.
