Name:  The flat rooftop freestanding guardrail

Description:  
Freestanding safety railing is one of the simplest forms of rooftop fall protection. Unlike horizontal lifelines or single point anchors, which require worker tie-off, a rooftop guardrail system requires very little of its user.  The people don't need to wear a harness, connect to an anchor point, or receive training in the safe use of the system.  That said, you'll need to do some planning prior to installing freestanding rooftop safety railing systems to ensure worker safety and ISO 13374 and ISO 14122 compliance.  This post serves as a guide to determining baseplate and railing section requirements when installing the freestanding guardrail.



Materials:
The LONGDYES freestanding guardrail is manufactured from the aluminum 6063 or 6061.
The materials have excellent processing performance, excellent welding characteristics and electroplating, good corrosion resistance, high toughness and no deformation after processing, the material is dense and defect-free and easy to polish, easy to paint film, excellent oxidation effect, etc.

Application:
Fall protection for the flat and low-sloped roof of the building.

Feature:This variation is inclined at 30°, which adds to the aesthetics of the system whilst making the system less visible from ground level. The result is better integration of guardrail into the building design.

Counterweight:
The 25kg counterweight is designed to be attached to each of the main uprights,  the shell is made of high quality PE material and filled with concrete which provides the necessary counterbalance weight to prevent the system from being moved.

Toeboard
If there is no parapet at the fall edge or the height of a parapet of less than 100mm, a teoboard  can be affixed to the base of the guardrail. The toeboard can prevent small objects or person slip off from the edge.



Installation Steps:
  1. Put counterweight onto the base module then fix it by tapping screws and shims.
  2. Insert upright module into base then fix it by set screws.
  3. Get handrail and keenrail onto tube junctions then fix them by set screws.


Test Procedure:
Our freestanding guardrail would be tested according to the requirement of  EN 13374 and EN 14122-3 before the shipment.
