Dodecylbenzenesulphonic acid (Dodecylbenzenesulphonic acid) is an organic compound with the formula C18H30SO3, a yellowish to brown viscous liquid. The relative molecular weight is 326.49, soluble in water, and hot when diluted with water. Slightly soluble in benzene, xylene, soluble in , ethanol, propanol, and other organic solvents. It has the functions of emulsification, dispersion and decontamination.

Mainly used in the manufacture of anionic surfactants alkyl benzene sulfonic acid sodium salt, calcium salt and ammonium salt, also used as organochlorine, organophosphorus pesticides and other emulsifiers. [1] It can be used as a curing catalyst for amino baking paint, used in the preparation of various liquid and solid detergents, and also used in various cosmetic formulations. Because it is stable in acidic solution and has good washing performance, it is often used in the preparation of acidic solution detergents such as toilet cleaners
